i-like-this, performance improvements
Hi,
I run the www.ludumdare.com 48 hour game development contest website and this past weekend we had some huge traffic and I was able to find some performance issues in i-like-this.
Here is my modified version of your code: http://code.google.com/p/ludumdare/source/browse/trunk/compo/plugin...
1 - the table you installed isn't indexed - I've fixed that, see lines 51-53
2 - on the front page of a wordpress site each post issues a query to find out if the IP has already liked something. This isn't really necessary because you already do a nice job of caching that in the browser. (And it's a huge performance hit when under heavy load!) I commented that out, see line 261.
